Aug 2, 2007 Pours brown with a thin tan head. Smells of light roasted malt, some underlying bitterness, elements of citrus and some spices. Tastes of chocolate, mildly hoppy and earthy with some nice hints of bitterness. Mouthfeel is full bodied and quite enjoyable.

Oct 17, 2007 trade extra from JJPM74. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, light roast, and some light floral hops. Taste is chocolate, vanilla, light roast, and a subltle caramel sweetness. Medium bodied for the style...light hop bitterness and flavor. Pretty nice, thanks John.

Sep 30, 2007 bottle poured a nutty black in color with a nice thin dirty tan layer of lacing on the beer. smell is roasted malts, chocolate, and light caramels. taste is medium in body, not as thick as many porters, finishes with a slight bitterness on the side of the tongue and some dryness. definitely notice the hops as the beer warmed but they were in good harmony with the malted base. not a have to have that porter but a decent one none the less.
