Bottle from bierzwerg.de. Brown color with medium sized light beige head. Roasted malt, caramel, roasted nuts, vanilla, some fruitiness in aroma. Taste, roasted malt, caramel, coffee, toffee, some liqueur, bitter hops. Long bitter finish with chocolate aftertaste. Surprisingly not sweet, tasty beer.

bottle. chestnut brown body with a small off-white head. rich malt experience in the nose, flavor and texture: seared nut oils, fruit cake, toasted sweet bread, coffee cake, light char of grain husks; really well put-together with small honey / melanoidin malt touches throughout. chewy, sticky and crisp texture with wonderful liveliness and cleanliness. rich, sticky caramelized sugars dance with roasted / toasted malt; alcohol is present but perfectly suited for the body and sweetness. stunning dunkler bock.

(bottle) pours a clear copper colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of peanuts and caramel, smoked ham, beechwood, vanilla and a very subdued fruitiness. flavour is mostly honey-glazed smoked ham, slightly barnyardy, with gently roasted chewy malts and a hint of espresso and chocolate in the finish. medium to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottled 50cl. Malt accented. Raisins and slight marmite throughout. Full bodied. Not bad.

Bottle by 11.03.2012. Nose is subdued, light caramel. Awesome blood red body with a tanned head. Taste brings some bitterness but also some notes of plastic, mild sweetness in front of barely-concealed alcohol. Full body not syrupy but close to flat. Don’t really find a redeeming positive here.

Malzig-süß, etwas röstig in der Nasen. Nur verhalten süßer Antrunk, eher getreidig. Im Mittel malzig, getreidig, würzig. Würzig herber, leicht kaffeeröstiger Abgang - bitterer Nachhall. Guter Bock, herbwürzig und nicht überladen süß.

Bamberg, Getranke.
Szép tiszta, mahagóni vörös színe van, ami ékkőszerűen csillog a fény elé tartva. Habja drapp színű, vékony, krémes és gyorsan elfogy. Illata aszalt gyümölcsös, alkoholos, égetett cukros, kissé fűszeres és pörkölt malátás. Íze karamellásan, édeskésen, sötét bogyós gyümölcsösen kezdődik, amibe aztán kapcsolódik egy adag pörkölt mogyoró, gyógyfüvek és komló. Közepesen testes és buborékos, az alkoholtartalmat kissé kiérezni belőle. Utóíze keserédes és kissé dohányfüstös és száraz. Érdekes baksör, nem túl édes, hagyjuk egy kicsit melegedni, hogy rendesen kinyíljon.
