(Bottle, 0,5 Litres ) Clear, dark brown colour with a slight head, on first draught much more sour than i expected, unbalanced body, no rudiment of smoke. In my point of view this beer is more a accidental variant of a bavarian Darkbeer than a franconian Smokebeer like Schlenkerla. --- 15.04.04

Nov 30, 2008 [Bottle from Bamberg.] Orange amber with good offwhite head. Notes of bread, malt, not that much smoke and some hops for the style. Nice and refreshing!.

Sweet malty body. Some cardboard and esters. Woody hoppiness in the finish. Nutty and drying. Not as good as their Felsenkeller, but still pretty OK.

Sep 17, 2008 Draught at EBF08. Clear amber colour. Clean flavour, a bit of malt and spice.

Sep 9, 2008 Draught at Ølbaren. Clear amber - white head. Nice smokey, ambe malts, white bread, light caramel, grainy, hay. Clean and nice !!!

Aug 7, 2008 Sampled @ Ølbaren. Amber with no head. Malty aroma, malty flavour. Not much smoke flavour. Boring.
