Scent:sweet malts. Taste:There is some tiny hints about hops but sweet toffee like malts are more present, bread wunderbier (1266), Tampere, Rovaniemi over summer, Finland Apr 26, 2008 A spongy, cream-coloured head rests on a clear, light red body. Biscuity, toffee-ish malts feel muted alongside faint herbal hops. Likewise, a dull sweetness yeilds to a loose, brackish finish. The occasionally sticky texture and medium body seem a size too large.
Timid example; malty, but lacking grace and assertiveness.
50cl can, best before 05/2008. Dorqui (1283), Brescia, Italy Dec 31, 2007 Bottled 0,50L [Hartwall Oktoberfest III].
Creamy and compact head of medium resistance. Orange clearly color with branch reflex, good and fine fizz. Light and rather dry aroma with notes of wood and toasts dampen cereals. Mostly bitter taste with light alcoholic content. A lot watery final of short persistence.
Thanks to mabjork for this beer. FatPhil (2086), Espoo, Finland Nov 28, 2007 440ml can.
Rich copper colour, thin head. Sweet light malt aroma, quite lagery too. Slightly sickly sweetness on the palate, spreads out into a noticable lightly-roasted, but definitely roasted, malt taste. Surprisingly good for a macro lager, but still quite bland and boring.
