Aura is a pale and fresh lager with a pleasant saaz hopping. The fresh flavor is aromatic and balanced. Aura has been brewed to celebrate the 120th birthday of the original Aura beer (brewed in Turku), as well as the 775th birthday of the city of Turku, the oldest city of Finland. The hopping has been considerably reduced compared to the original recipe.

0.33 L bottle, in courtesy of Rune. Thank you my friend! Clear, pale gold colored body. Low, fine-bubbled snowy white top. Sweet-scented grainy and wort-like aroma. Some grassy hops is noticable. Taste is too far on the sweet side to be fresh. Sugar-sweetness with a touch of honey. Moderate bitterness. Some husky/grainy notes. Medium full, oily texture. Sweet grainy barley malt finish.

Yeah, this’ll be my last one on the ferry. Nice clear golden body, not much head. Candyish fruity - PEZ candy malty nose. Almost perfumey. Tastes than I expected it would. Grainy lemon drops, muesli really, not much else, not much aftertaste, not much bitterness but fuck it, it kinda works and it’s better than the average Finnish macro fare, not that that means much...

(Bottle, 0.33 l) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had metallicness, sweetness and a hint of grass. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were metallicness, malts, sweetness, mildly grain and quite low bitterness. Aftertaste was mildly bitter. Yet another boring pale lager.
