Aura is a pale and fresh lager with a pleasant saaz hopping. The fresh flavor is aromatic and balanced. Aura has been brewed to celebrate the 120th birthday of the original Aura beer (brewed in Turku), as well as the 775th birthday of the city of Turku, the oldest city of Finland. The hopping has been considerably reduced compared to the original recipe.

330ml bottle. Blind horizontal tasting.
Almost no aroma, maybe dust, but perhaps the glass needed to be washed. I donít think this tastes of anything - even my tapwater tastes of more.

Aura is light yellow beer with thin white head. In the aroma there is grass and little sweetness. Flavour is slightly sweet and there are also some nice hops. There are some bitterness but too watery palate spoils the nice aromas of hops. There are some good things in the Aura but it is too watery and so it canít success.

33cl bottle. Another typical Finnish lager, amber with a loose white head; grainy aroma; full bodied, but remarkably tasteless; sweet malty finish with a trace of hops.

330ml bottle. Lasting white foam over a deep golden body. Slightly grassy aroma with hints of malt. The initial taste is grainy followed by distinctive notes of apples and quite bitter lemons. Thin palate (thanks to Marko for bringing a bottle all the way from Tampere to The Midnight Sun Witchcraft Conference in VardÝ - 01.07.2007)

From a trade with oh6gdx. The body is light gold with a trace of a white head that sticks around. The aroma has hints of bologna and some rasins. Surprisingly sweet. The taste is light romaine lettuce with some notes of canned pears. This is an interesting and strangely sweet pale lager. There is a hint of raw potatoes in the finish. A decent warm weather brew.

bottled. yellow and fizzy, faint hay aroma, some corn syrup sweetness and only a tinge of bitterness. all adds up to a boring beer

I like this, if not for anything else, the fact that itís something they used to drink years and years ago. The fact I donít like, is the fact that the recipe has been changed. An ok lager anyway.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2007 Botteld 0,33L. Yellow pale color, little bubbly one. Compact and evanescent head. Light scent, nearly absent, with notes of cereals and straw, nothing other. Intangible and rather watery taste with notes of dry grass, straw and hay. Modest bitter and watery final.
