djoeye (938) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 11, 2014
Aroma; tart, sweet pale malts, grass, very faint mild hops. Deep beige golden, small head, small lacings. Taste; grains, sweet pale malts, bread. To palate slightly oily, smooth, easy going. Finishes in bread, tart, mild syrup. Not bad, not exciting. 33cl brown bottle 5.2% b@Alko.fi Mooonyo, tasted@home Norway.

Bottle@massukeskus. Light golden. Hints of citrus, some greens. Light body, sterile flavour. But not really that bad. Doesnt feel watery at least, some sweet malts. Quite a normal pale lager. Clean, but unimaginative. But not total piss either

Vells (548) - LATVIA - DEC 18, 2013
Some maltiness, surprisingly fruity for pale lager, kinda seems apple juice added, almost no hops, bread. Sweet with very light bitterness, bit watery. Didnt taste any annoying defects. Its quite plain, but very drinkable as thirst quencher

330ml bottle. Golden colour and medium white head. The aroma consists of malts and the taste is moderately sweet with some bitterness. Light-bodied with a thin/watery texture and soft carbonation.

As the choices in the hotel bar were either this or Newcastle Brown I thought I’d go for the new rate. I am very glad I did not have to pay because it was a typical bland industrial beer. Fortunately the bars and pubs around Helsinki offered many much better alternatives.

Aroma / Appearance - The pale golden body was transparent and bubbled like a glass of yellowy soda. The stiff white head would not collapse even after a few sips. Lemon juice, stale white toast, and a dash of sourness did not make it easy to continue.

Flavor / Palate - Lemony ginger ale was inoffensive for the most part. Mildly sweet dandelions almost gave it character but then the bland finish ruined even that. Within minutes of drinking it I’d forgotten all about it. It might be Finnish but this is basically just a local version of a boring macro.
