2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
330 ml bottle.
Pours a golden colour with a white head. Lazy bubbles. Aroma of sweet grainy malts and some fruits. Flavour of sweet grainy malts, rough hops and some metals. Light bodied, thin mouthfeel and a light, sweet and weak bitter finish. Alcohol warms in the end. Overall very unoffensive and tasteless.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Orange tinged golden color, quickly disappearing white head. Malty-sweet smell with metallic notes. Taste is pretty sweet for a lager, malty tones dominate start to the middle of the taste, then comes the medium-bitter hoppiness. Watery palate. Nothing to write home about, but not offensive either, quite drinkable.

Regular Karjala III is drinkable finnish pale lager, this really is on the edge.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2011 Re-rating 18.8.2011. Appearance like Karjala III. A bit richer aroma and sweeter taste. This would be the main beer from Karjala if it were sold in grocery stores. Nonetheless, something you forget very quickly.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Karjala is a sweet beer in general, and I believe this is the sweetest version. It’s an ideal beer to be enjoyed alone, as it gives a taste like bread after the fist couple of sips, and the finish is very easy on the mouth.
