Pours copper color with a small head. Aroma of mild tar, grain and grass. Flavor of pale malts, grain and faint tar notes.

230213. Can at home. Pours clear golden with a nice frothy head. Aroma butter, some tar. Slight smoke aroma in the taste. Better than I expected, but still quite artificial feel to it.

330 bottle. Yellow body and a white head. Malty and a bit sweet with a hint of tar and smoke. The body is way too thin to keep this interesting. They should have tried to make an Imperial Tar Porter or something.

Pint can. Strong tar nose with hints od malts. Light white head and transparent yellowish color. Malty tarful taste which is intresting and pretty good.

Strong aroma has lots of tar, then malting. Clear golden with short and thin head. Taste has caramel tar, malting and fruits in finish. Crisp but soft feel, medium body. Not bad. Tar is very much on top here which brings lots flavor. More body and thickness could be nice.

33cl bottle. Somewhat smokey and spicy aroma and taste, not so much of the tar that is suggested by the name. Somewhat more tasty version of the plain Karjala.

[Thanks to oh6gdx]. 33cl bottle. Dark golden colour with an average formation of a medium creamy off-white head. Tar notes in the aroma, with slightly malt. Flavour is similar as aroma with slightly smoky hints. Carbonation and body are medium.
