Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 16, 2006 [At RBESG 2006] A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet, dry, and roasted with a light touch of caramel. The body is thin. omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 5, 2005 Bottled. Near black, rich head. Roasty with notes of coffee and some sourish malt. Some nice malt flavours doesn’t overcome the fact that the body is thin and the mouthfeel rather sharp. Ashy finish. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 24, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear mahogany with a warm, reddish hue and a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Fairly light-bodied with roasted, malty accents. Dry finish without much bitterness. Pleasant and very drinkable, but nothing much more than a dry Dunkel really. 210906 joergen (6340), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 27, 2006 Bottle at RBESG 2006.
Clear dark brown coloured with a beige head.
Aroma of malts, fruits and caramel.
Flavour of malts, fruits and caramel with roasted notes. oh6gdx (5903), Vaasa, Finland Sep 10, 2005 Bottled. Black colour with red hints, brown mediumsized head. Vegetably malt in aroma along with metallic hints. Vegetables and a bit coffee in flavour. Weak roasted malt in aftertaste, but I doubt this has anything to do with a porter...
