Satori (2), Finland does not count Dec 31, 2006 Nice beer for casual days, but if you want to enjoy good beer and meditate, there are better options available. I appreciate the size of the bottle, 0,5 liter will make sure, that the refreshment won’t run out too quick. radiomgb (1781), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jul 28, 2006 500ml bottle bought at small convenience store in Helsinki, Finland. Rating #1200. Dark brown in colour, lasting beige head, some lacing. The aroma was smoky, some licorice, light malts, small roast. The flavour was smoky, dark malts, bittersweet chocolate, light coffee, some toasted almonds. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes smoky, bitter, fizzy, medium length. A light porter, could almost be a smoked beer. Not to bad. Gr0ve (1123), Oslo, Norway Dec 29, 2006 500 ml bottle. Almost black with a deep ruby red crystal clear colour. Peppery. Nutty caramel. Burnt coffee-drops. Licorice. Mellow and soft mouthfeel. Lightly bitter, but that does not stand in the way of the flavours. Bready. Smooth finish, with perhas not too much flavour. A well-balanced porter, and a good one too. Retorp (2156), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 8, 2006 Courtesy of oh6gdx. Thank you, Pat. aroma is grassy/earthy with muted hints of dark malt. Settles to a light black in the glass and holds a frothy, thumb thick, mocha head. Licorice, chocolate, burnt malts and some toasted caramel notes. Doesn’t taste bad at all though it does finish with a metallic twang and the mouthfeel leans toward being watery. Still it’s not nearly as bad to my tastebuds as its ratings suggested it might be. Worth a try in my opinion. Dorqui (1296), Brescia, Italy Feb 22, 2006 Updated: Sep 16, 2007Bottled 0,50L. Much creamy and supporter head, good volume and long persistence. Much dark brown color, impenetrable and elegant one. Not particularly rich scent with bitter cacao and liquorice notes; light alcoholic tenor. Much prickly taste but little dense one; braced malt rumors with an extended bitter on the end.
Thanks to mabjork for this beer.
