I really don’t like these flavoured tryout-beers. This will without a doubt be retired quite soon. It’s not a bad one, there just isn’t any good reason to drink this over some other beer. It’s a beer you’ll taste once and then forget it.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Golden colour, small head, lack of aroma and honey sweetness in flavour. Dry texture. Light bitter end. A rather weak drink.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bright yellow color, not much head. Light, slightly honeyish aroma. Watery flavor with a touch of honey. Quite fresh but still only a bulk lager with a bit of a twist.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
So, appearance, aroma and flavor is nothing special. Quite pleasant actually. And Papsoe is right: I can’t taste the honey either. What I do taste however, is tha palate. It’s really bad and I want to rinse my mouth.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) A bit odd to find a beer by this name in Finland - complete with a Danish/Norwegian "ø" and not the Swedish/Finnish "ö" in the spelling of "øl" (beer). Apparantly an attempt to make a beer inspired by the vikings mead - with a bit of honey added. Straw golden, very limited head, filtered, lots of carbonation. And no, the honey is not detectable, but there’s a neat little hoppiness in the palate. 160405

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Pale golden colour, huge white head, which disappears quickly. Sweet honey in aroma, with hints of smoke. Taste is very wellbalanced, first filling taste of sweetness (incl. honey), and aftertaste of malt. Turns from sweet to bitter, but the aftertaste is a bit short. There’s also hints of smoke in the flavour.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden color with big white head vanished fastly, lively carbonation. Mildly sweet honey aroma. Flavor is surprisingly sweet with hints of honey, not bad at all. Body is medium full, also nice thing for Finnish pale lager. Ending is crispy and well hopped, some carbonation comes up also. Nice surprise indeed, aroma could be stronger if comparing to flavor!
