Light brown with a lasting head. Sturdy nutty-toast nose. Deliciously smooth with hazelnut flavors and mellow bitterness. Good.

Very nice beer!!! Made up for the disappointment when they did not have any stout left. This beer had a nice malt smell and flavor. Kept to its nutty name. The aroma was one of the best I have ever smelt! A must whenever you are in the area.

Poured a clear brown color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, and a bit of roast. Taste of caramel, nuts, roasted malts, and some cocoa. Creamy mouthfeel, one of the better beers from this brewpub.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2007 Nut brown, but where’s the nut ? Weak and watery. Slight honey character. ****Re-Rate, 02/13/2005**** Boo-yaaa. New brewer. Muuuuch better. Strong espresso with a hint of dirt in the aroma, this brew delivers in the flavor department as well. Medium-bodied and earthy throughout, the dry finish closes the lightly bitter finish. This brew is all about the balance.

Nut brown color, but not brown nut taste. Smooth beer. Smells stronger than it tastes. A little too thin on the taste.

On tap at the Brew Pub. Poured a dark brown color with a small off white head. Aromas and tastes of nuts and caramel. Malty.

Pours a brown with ruby and an average creamy off white head that left slight lacing. Aroma very toasty, nuts, roasted almonds, some coffee grinds and a light hop presence. Flavors of the same...although slightly toned down from the aroma. Slightly on the thin side.

Draft. Pours red brown with a beige head. Light roasty aroma with some lighter sweet malty notes. The flavor is roasty and nutty with a light butterscotchy sweetness. Decent.

Brown hue with light tan head and good lace. The aroma hinted of roasted chocolate malts, hazelnut, rye bread, aromatic fuggles hops, dates, butterscotch. The taste is nutty and malty with a good dash of bitters. A bit buttery upon the finish. Soild mouthfeel for the style not too thin and not too heavy. A good brown ale, quaffable, enjoyable.
