argo0 (6289), Washington DC, USA Dec 23, 2006 (8.3% ABV when I visited) Clear apple juice body with white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, pineapple, floral, peach. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, pineapple, mango/melon. Dry hoppy finish. Resinous medium body. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 28, 2007 Fully cloudy, rather pale golden hue. The head is white and quite limited to a small cover. Tea-like, orangey and juicy nose with an interesting limey tweak combined with white grapefruit and expressive resin. Kinda complex smelling. Tannic palate, mostly dry. Well aromatic and tasty. Medium bodied with active, cleansing carbonation. Less watery than the other Harvest Moon beers that I’ve had. Piney, rather green and fresh hop showcase. Hard to appoint adjectives on the malts. They obviously serve as a support ingredient. Good, clean and pleasant I2PA. hopdog (4779), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 1, 2006 Sampled from growler courtesy of TomDecapolis (thanks!). Poured a medium and hazy orange color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of juicy oranges, caramel, other citrus fruits, and melons. Tastes of caramel, more oranges, and citrus. Lightly sugary. Decent balance but leaning on the sweeter side. CaptainCougar (4687), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 21, 2007 Hand-bottle sampled on 1/10/07: Pours a clear bronze with a nicely-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly piny, earthy hops and a touch of pale malts with some fusel alcohol. Body starts sweet and pale malty with a touch of bittering earthy hops and some piny drier notes toward the finish. A pretty decent double IPA.
