COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in memory of Deputy Chief James D'Heron of the New Brunswick Fire Dept. A portion of every sale will be donated to The Children's Burn Camp of the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation. An Irish-style red ale brewed with emphasis on balance. Malty-sweet accents from Vienna malt blend nicely with a variety of English hops leaving a clean, crisp finish. Rich caramel malt and a touch of roasted barley lends an appealing deep red hue.

Dark amber, creamy off white head. Nose was well roasted with notes of nutty earth, florals, and hints of milk chocolate. Well balanced flavor with a light hop and caramel chocolate malt mix. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bittersweet finish. Nicely done....

(5.2% ABV when I stopped in) Crystal clear copper body with beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, some fruitiness. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, some earthy. Light-medium body, light resin.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear and red, with a light head. Malty aroma. Medium body with evident alcohol in the finish. Not many hops.

Sampler from the hand pump. Pours a translucent golden amber with an average creamy off white head. Aroma was toasty, nutty, some sweet caramel, light citrus hops and grains. Flavors of the same...actually a nice balance of the malts and hops. Liked the way how this one came together.

Poured dark red with a sizable tan head. Smelled like caramel, grain and roasted barley. Toasty taste which was smooth but one dimensional. Ok.

sampler. Pours amber/red, small off white head. Didn’t get much of an aroma with this beer. Taste is caramel with some light roasty grain, and it is balanced quite nicely with some bitter and floral hops.

Pours reddish amber with white head. Nice maltiness with notes of nuts and caramel balanced by earthy hops. Clean finish. Not bad, but not memorable either

Almost no head. Light malty aroma. Dark red color. Roasted grains, soft malts with a little dryness and bitterness. Clean finish with a light dry bitterness. An ok brew.

Not spectacular, for an amber or whatever it is. Mildish, not great taste, but I like the cause. More local micros should imitate this.
