Poured dark red with a sizable tan head. Smelled like caramel, grain and roasted barley. Toasty taste which was smooth but one dimensional. Ok.

Oct 10, 2008 Cloudy brown pour with a foamy tan head and lace. Bread and roasted malt on the nose. Medium roasted malt with a medium bitter finish. Light foamy medium bodied beer. Pretty good.

May 28, 2008 Draft Sample at brewpub. Red with white head. Caramel and slight chocolate nose. Taste is big caramel with chocolate notes, slight raisin and a good, clean hop bitterness. Good stuff.

Jul 15, 2007 A balanced aroma, not too hoppy but a bit of malt. Head pours average with a good white color and good lacing. Clear amber golor, a bit of a copper look. Initially sweat, then a good hops flavor. Medium body.

Apr 14, 2007 Dark amber, creamy off white head. Nose was well roasted with notes of nutty earth, florals, and hints of milk chocolate. Well balanced flavor with a light hop and caramel chocolate malt mix. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bittersweet finish. Nicely done....
