COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in memory of Deputy Chief James D'Heron of the New Brunswick Fire Dept. A portion of every sale will be donated to The Children's Burn Camp of the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation. An Irish-style red ale brewed with emphasis on balance. Malty-sweet accents from Vienna malt blend nicely with a variety of English hops leaving a clean, crisp finish. Rich caramel malt and a touch of roasted barley lends an appealing deep red hue.

Served on draft at the brewpub. I just read the story behind this beer’s name, and basically 15 people survived because firefighter Jimmy D gave his life to save them. That’s a true American and New Jersey hero. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a large creamy head. Decent head retention. Aroma of earthy, almost peaty notes and toffee malts. The taste is similar with a slight lingering bitterness. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

On tap at Harvest Moon. Pours a hazed caramel ruby amber with a thin white head. Aromas of coffee, toast, cocoa, and nutty malt. Medium bodied, chocolaty roast and toast, nice nutty malt. Lots of body and flavor in here. Unexpected. Slow malty finish with a nice long slow bitterness. Tasty. Coffee and toast linger.

Sampler from the hand pump. Pours a translucent golden amber with an average creamy off white head. Aroma was toasty, nutty, some sweet caramel, light citrus hops and grains. Flavors of the same...actually a nice balance of the malts and hops. Liked the way how this one came together.

Tap @ the brewpub. The beer was a deep chestnut color with an almost white head. The aroma was malty with some toasty notes and sweaty hops. The flavor was malty with some sweetness but otherwise not much going on.
