Commercial Description: Our Schwarzbier or Bavarian Black Lager is brewed with German Plisner and an array of other highly kilned roasted malts. Although dark in appearance, this beer has a rather light, dry character with flavors ans aromas reminiscent of richly roasted coffee and bitter dark chocolate.
This beer pours a solid black color with mild effervescence. The head is medium and beige. Thin lacing that races down the sides of the glass. The aroma is somewhat roasty and malty. Medium body with a decent roasted malt flavor, along with a little caramel and chocolate. The finish is somewhat toasty and lasting. Pretty good Schwarz!
