2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jcwattsrugger (10000) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUN 8, 2008
on tap-pours a white ring for a head and yellow color. Aroma is sweet grain, mild perfumy. Taste is plenty of sweet grain, some fruit, faint perfume hops. An OK beer, drinkable, but closet to wort with some faint hops than standard Kolsch. Mild carbonation. Off note throughout, which is a detractor. Don’t know which, diacytl, yeast, lines need cleaning?

Cask at 3rd Manhattan Cask Fest: Pale golden with a fading white head. Lightly sweet pale malt aroma with a biscuit note. A bit muddled. Light body- fiarly dry flavor- a touch crackery, some mild bready sweeter notes. Low bitterness- lacking body. This is an underwhelming example, and a style not meant to be served on a cask.
