dkherigon (25), Great Falls, Montana, USA Aug 15, 2007 Draft only. Great pours at:Belt Brew Pub, Harvest Moon Saloon, East Side Bar, Sidetrack Lounge, U-Bet Casino and Ryan’s Station. This Belgian is best when poured from astablishments that promote or list as the solo Belgian.
Milkish amber pour with a frothy white head. The Aroma pounds down the flavor, one of the best overall Belgian Whites in the Northwest, and the best in Montana. Harvest Moon Brewery got this one right. Only reason I did not rate this better, I have been to Germany. montanabeerman (5), Bozeman, Montana, USA does not count Mar 5, 2006 On tap at the brewery in Belt. Rocky white head, good lacing. Spicy/hoppy aroma. Well rounded mouthfeel with a spicy flavor, definite coriander and citrus notes. Fun beer but I dont think I would want to session with it. Brewer says that 80% of his capacity is now the Beltian White. The revived "Great Falls Select" is a nice golden ale. scrizzz (537), kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 27, 2008 hazy mellow gold, not much of a spice nose, but the saaz comes through and meets the wheat aroma nicely. oranges up front, mild, consistent and refreshing. I really enjoyed this. Aubrey (2625), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 29, 2008 Surprisingly refreshing beer with some interesting things going on. Soft palate, but with a crisp edge. Well-made malt profile, with earth, cookie dough and bread yeast. Bubble gum and Fruity Pepples in the aroma. Balancing bitterness, flowery and spicy. Light coriander, orange rind and white pepper aromas in the background. Pleasant beer. Pours hazy yellow with a small head. Very refreshing, nicely done Witbier.
Hints of citrus and spices in the nose. Flavors of grain, a slight mustiness and fruits. I drank one of these whenever I found it on tap in the region, it is worth repeating.
