Growler filled from the source in Belt. Consumed two hours later in Choteau, Montana. Great off-white rocky head with decent lacing. Full mouthfeel. Malty flavor with chocolate and caramel notes. Not as roasty as some porters Ive had but a very good example. Fun little brewery in an off the beaten path spot. Brewer mentioned that he has a bottling plant in the works, hopefully this delightful porter transitions well to the bottle.

Nov 16, 2008 Bottle courtesy of kyzr. Pours dark brown with a thin white head. Smells of coffee, a hint of pepper. Tastes of sweet malt and a touch of coffee. Bitter finish.

May 6, 2008 On tap at the clubhouse in Meadowlake. Dark brown, aromas of chocolate and clay. Fudgey, a litle roasty, smooth mouthfeel, medium bitter finish. Really delicious.

Apr 10, 2008 On draft in Billings. How can you see a name like this and not try it? Nothing really to say that isn’t in the "classic" porter description. For what it’s worth, it is a decent beer...fairly roasty, drinkable, and satisfying.

Oct 14, 2007 Draft at Legends, Great Falls. Opaque with a small head that lasts pretty well. Aroma is earthy molasses. Flavor is mostly the same with some slight smoke, coffee and chocolate. Palate is light-medium and watery.
