3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at Chelsea Cask Fest. Mild, dull aroma, a little bit of earthy moss. Mild, chewy brit malts. Decent enough flavor, but very dull. Maybe some fennel and coriander if I really dig.
But, what the hell, 5.4%!? Mild??

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sample at brewpub as Elmes’ Mild Manor. Clear amber , rimming white head. good lacing. Nose is pronounced mineral hop smell of bitter with some caramel notes. Taste is lots of bitter hops with a rather thin mouth feel. Some decent caramel character and some mineral-esque flavors that I associate with a bitter. Good example.
