mjs (1446), Helsinki, Finland Oct 29, 2009 (Draught) Served way too cold. Poured amber and clear. Formed a small and white head. Spices and malts in not so pleasant aroma. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. I noticed malts, spices, sweetness and bitterness in taste. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. Easily forgettable. coldbrewky (716), Saugerties, New York, USA Oct 10, 2009 Draft today at a harvest festival. Nose of weak spices. The coors light plastic cup did not help much to set a decent tone, but neither did every aqua-net whore and Jersey Guido wannabe Yankee fan that seemed to appear at this upstate festival. A nice orangish amber in the cup with at fizzy head. first sip reveals a medium body with a good bit of chalkiness. Pumpkin finally arrives in a funky finish. Some other spice tones pop out here and there. Lackluster. Hbuck72 (122), Chickasha, Oklahoma, USA Oct 22, 2008 Nice orange color, light colored head. Smells of hops and a slight pumpkin smell. However, the beer is lacking in pumpkin flavor, the hops overpower any flavors in the beer. dull ’’vegetable like’’ after taste. Not one of my favorites ScoWRee (275), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 17, 2008 Pours a deep golden orange color with a huge white fluffy head. Aroma of wheat and clove. Taste of wheat with a slight hint of pumpkin. Nice texture. Nice brew. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Oct 10, 2008 Amber pour with off white tight foamy head and lace. Pumpkin spice and malt on the nose. Pumpkin, clove, medium bitter and a hint of abv. Foamy medium bodied beer. Nice full bitter pleasant surprise. beerdad (74), Kansas, USA Sep 27, 2008 bottled. pours amber with a large cream colored head. nothing noted other than hops and alcohol on the nose. flavors are lacking and dilute. some nutmeg, and a touch of bitterness from orange peel, but very mild. of the pumkin ales i’ve had this is my least favorite. puzzl (2579), New York, New York, USA Sep 25, 2008 Cask at Chelsea Cask Fest. Mild pumpkin & pie spice in the aroma. Some nutmeg and allspice. Flavor is very thin, vegetal. Brussel sprouts and eggplant. Odd. Muddy, minor pie spice flavor. Pretty dull, tough to drink. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Sep 22, 2008 Cask at Manhattan Cask Fest. Amber beer with no head. Aroma is lightly spicy with a bit of allspice/clove and nutmeg. Light caramel but the body is really quite thin. Strange papery/metallic off-flavour. Meh... a bit uninspired.
