This was the VIP of the night for our group. The guys I was with (for a roommate’s brother’s 21st birthday) must have drunk about 4 or 5 of these each while we were there. They loved it. As for the beer itself, pretty sweet, nicely spiced. Deep amber color with sugary and fruity aroma. Dances a little in your mouth.
wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA Sep 21, 2006 Pours amber with a thin tan head. Smells like floral hops, sazz hops, candy fruits and Belgian yeast. Spicy taste with candy apple and floral hops. Floral hops worked well because I had not really experienced that in a tripel before. Palate was quite yeasty and well balanced but there was nothing to excite me. I was pleased with this and would have it again. hopdog (4779), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 23, 2005 On tap at the Harvest Moon Brew Pub. Poured a medium amber color with a small sized white head. Fruity aromas. Tastes of fruity sweet apples and a light spicy finish. Sweet tasting. Overall a drinkable american Tripel. mkobes (2045), paramus, New Jersey, USA May 30, 2005 Served in a snifter at the brewpub. Amber in color with a thin head. Fruity, honey, malty aroma. Honey malty flavor. Candied sugar notes. Sweet tasting. Well balanced. Finish is hoppy and malty. Nice. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA May 30, 2005 Snifter at the brewpub. Hazy golden, thin white head. Fruity malty candy and honey aroma. Big malty flavor with candied notes and a honey flavor. Slight hops. Malty slightly saaz finish. tomciccateri (466), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA May 26, 2005 Draught at the brewpub was surprisingly dark (dark amber), with a medium body and great malty sweet flavor. Subtle hops and nice mild Belgian yeast character (complex spiciness, with mellow esters). A short finish and overall, nice.
