Bottled. Light copper colour with a small off white head of large bubbles. Floral hops on the nose with some biscuity malt. A balance of malt and hop flavours, a sweet start and a dry bitter finish. Not bad.

--> 12,11,12,11,12,11 - 11,

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, toffee, marzipan notes. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, mazipan malty, fruity, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Joeh (2038) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2011
Rating from an old notebook. Orange coloured with no head. Huge whiff of the characteristic Harvey’s yeast, bread and caramel. Sweet, deliciously malty, toffee and more than anything just very, very bready. Harveys are such a very good brewery but a 4.5% pasteurised bitter can only ever reach a certain level and this is about as good as it gets.

Bottle. Pours brown/copper with a thin white head. Nose is a deep sweet caramel malt character and tiny bit of hop fruitiness. Leather and molasses in there too. Flavour is sweet and fruity and a little bit of bitterness. Nice caramel malt character, reminding me slightly of Anchor Steam. Good session bitter, very well balanced flavours.

Easy-drinking ale with malt and hops in a great balance. Nothing remarkable but an extremely solid brew.
