Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 13, 2006 [Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] An orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is lightly hoppy, combined with notes of flowers and berries. The flavor is very flowery combined with a light note of citrus, leading to a bitter end. A very fresh and very nice beer. MiP (6337), Flensburg, Germany May 2, 2006 Cask. Acidic hoppiness in flavour, Belgian style. Copper colour, no head. Good bitter with a nice hop twist. Moldy sort of hoppiness. Low carbonation. Emil (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark Apr 4, 2006 CASK at Charlies Copenhagen. Golden colour with a small white head. Fruity, butter aroma and taste. Medium body with a very bitter dry finish. fiulijn (6010), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Feb 18, 2008 Cask conditioned at Charlie’s Pub, Copenhagen
Light amber color. The aroma is mild, but clearly earthy. It has a medium body strength, with some malt and toffee flavor, enough bitterness, and a light acidity that differentiates it; fresh and refreshing. An easy one from Harveys, with minimum character, but not bad. harrisoni (5474), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 27, 2007 Updated: Feb 11, 2008275ml bottle from the brewery shop, Lewes. I saw the statue when it came to Lewes, in fact the reason that I last visited the town. Gold colour with thin off white head. Decent golden bitter. Bit of toffee and tinny. Not impressed with some of the bottles I got at the shop.
Cask handpull at Market Porter. Typical Harvey’s yeast on aroma, over a relatively complex malt base. Really rather good. 737316 3.6/5.0
