ChristianScheffel (2318), Odense, Denmark Oct 11, 2008 Amber with a small off-white head, leaving lace. Aroma has toffee, a little fruit and molasses. Sweet malt and molasses flavour, slightly burnt and with a drying finish. HogTownHarry (3361), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Sep 25, 2008 Bottle (500ml). At Royal Oak (Borough). Bright clear ruby-brown pour, solid lasting fluffy beige head (3+). Dry, light aroma, yeasty and syrup-sweet, hint of toffee - smells like you could spread it on toast. Taste - well, also tastes like it would be a good spread - very treacle-sweet, with rosehip bitterness - reminds me a lot of a lighter Samuel Smith’s Nutbrown. Light, syrupy body, not very much carbonation, the syrup character is there the whole way, but it fades quite quickly. Tasty, but weak and a little too sweet. henrikb (1161), Aarhus, Denmark Aug 24, 2008 Clear chestnut body, off white head; Very beautiful malt sugary nose; balanced bitter slightly sugary body; Malt sugary long finish. Great interesting beer. RichardGretton (2748), Leicestershire, England Aug 3, 2008 Bottle@Beers of the World Live (NEC), 2008. Amber beer with a mildly roasted aroma and a rich and spiced’ish flavour. Overall a nice malty beer. fonefan (5569), Ulfborg, Denmark Jul 14, 2008 Bottle 50cl.
Clear medium brown color with a small, virtually none appearance, virtually none lancing, fully diminishing, head.
