Cask at the Royal Oak, London. Very dark ruby. Nytty and grainy some fruit. A bit oxidised, but not much of an aged character, really.

Cask gravity at Oxford Beer Festival 16-10-08 Pours brownish colour, it’s difficult to be more exact in the light of the Town Hall. Good maltiness and some sweet slightly tangy fruitiness. Reminds me of old furniture in many ways, its a bit creaky, bit dusty but well made and comfortable once you’ve settled into it. I really rather liked this and was glad that Neil Hoggarth Oxford CAMRA recommended me a beer like this that I might ordinarily have overlooked.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A dark amber beer with a red shine under a small tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of fruity, malt, and hops. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of straw, but also hints of fruit.
