Hints of pear and apple in the mouth, straw, chalk, oats, that dusty dankness underpinning everything. Peppery hop dryness again. Wheaty, floury afters in the nose. Dust and dankness. Citrussy, bitter taste, with a moderate bitter malty finish. downender (1525), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Aug 2, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, SE1 1/8/08.Deep golden in colour with a slight, off-white head. Spicy yeast aroma with a touch of apricot. Fruity malt flavour with more yeast and a short, dry finish. Good. maeib (3958), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England May 19, 2008 Cask conditioned - handpump - Lord Nelson, Brighton. An orange coloured bitter. Again full of that Harveys pepper. Excellent condition, forming lace even without a head. Smooth and drinkable if a little short in the finish. A nice beer though. ante (2499), Stockholm (Bromma), Sweden Oct 15, 2007 Cask at GBBF. Hazy golden colour with a minimal white foam. Soapy, grainy and lemony aroma with notes of hay. Medium-bodied with a strong soapy flavour with notes of lemon and swimmingpool. Short grainy finish with touches of bread and lemon.
