MiP (6337), Flensburg, Germany Jul 10, 2007 Cask. Clear dark golden colour. Small, bubbly white head. Very nice hop flavour. Not too sweet. Grassy and nicely dry. Fruity aftertaste. Nice and flavourful for a session bitter. harrisoni (5474), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 26, 2006 Cask handpull at Market Porter, Borough. Gold with thinnish white head. Harveys yeast aroma. Good malts in mouth. Hoppy dry finish. Don’t underestimate that Harvey’s aroma. Toffee malt which is light and delightful. Good supping beer. Light toffee flavour is a classic Svesse (1877), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 23, 2006 (Cask at Royal Oak, Borough, London, 31 July) Colour is pale amber with almost no head. Nose is fruity with apricots, orange, dried fruit and that earthy, Harveys house style, yeasty hop aroma. Taste is fruity with apricots, orange, mandarin, nuts and a lovely earthy hop character in the finish. Goes in the expected Harveys style and in great condition (as usual at Royal Oak). Very nice. Ethereal (927), London, Greater London, England Aug 19, 2007 Cask at The Dorset Arms, Lewes. Pours golden amber with a small head. The aroma is fruity hops and this is carried on in the taste - very hoppy with fresh fruit notes. The dry, long lasting finish makes this a refreshing summer beer. maeib (4106), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England May 19, 2008 Cask conditioned - handpump - Lord Nelson, Brighton. An orange coloured bitter. Again full of that Harveys pepper. Excellent condition, forming lace even without a head. Smooth and drinkable if a little short in the finish. A nice beer though.
