275 ml bottle. Pitch black. Soft buttery aroma with lots of cacao and a hint of licorice. Intense licorice and tar flavours. Caramel and dark burnt toffee. Smokey flavours. Licorice. Fairly low carbonation. Very nice complexity with a lot of flavours and a lot of components. Sweet malts. Rich oily texture. A really great beer.

Difficult to rate. Lots of aromas and flavor, are they good, thats the question. Dark, black, light brown head, mostly lasting. Aroma of roasted soy sauce, salt, medicine, burnt bread. Worchester sauce right up the lane. Sweet flavor. huummm, odd. Have taken the soy sauce and the worchester sauce and tryed the the different aroma, not much difference.

Aroma is rather nice with coffee, chocolate, blueberries, light alcohol note, nice and roasted. Taste is very roasted, bitter espresso, burnt caramel sweetness. Not exactly elegant. Insanely high carbonation.

Bottle at KØ10. Roasted and fruity aroma. Black colour. Small stable frothy dark brown colour. The flavour is roasted and sweet, some grassy hop. Sourish, acetic barrellike note, a little funky. Very late roasted barley bitterness. Quite interesting. Perhaps brett?

Bottle, Copenhagen Beer Festival. Treacle, tar, hardly any carbonation. Vinous, spicy. Lovely.

Rune (8006) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAY 22, 2010
Sampled from a bottle. Dark tan hue, pitch black body with a deep ruby shade. Aroma of earthy malts and ripe fruits. Well rounded flavour of roasted sweet malts revealing hints of chocolate and liquorice. Short bitter endnotes. Mostly hidden alcohol. In danger of being too sweet. 100ml might be enough at a time (Copenhagen beer festival, 08.05.2010).

27,5 cl bottle, pours deep dark with a huge brown head , aroma is roasted malt, taste is liquorice, coffee and roasted malt, nice long lasting finish. Decent beer but not quite my thing.

Plovmand (6459) - Helsinge, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2010
Bottle. Pitch black with a creamy longlasting brown head. The aroma is roasty and light acidic. Notes of berries, liquorice and dark fruit. The flavour is bit sour with lots of roasted malt, coffee and dark fruit. Could be slightly infected but not bad at all. Far from the typical English Impy stouts. Great thick mouthfull.
