COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
A strong, old style India Pale Ale reminiscent of the ales exported across the globe by British breweries during the early 19th Century. It has a full hop aroma, golden body and tight head. The bitterness lingers on the palate giving a dry finish.

Paler amber than the bitter, slight buzzy head. Toffee and pineapple nose. Lean grassy bitterness, the "full hop" is a bit of a melon and lime stretch and it finishes clean enough. Agreeable enough finish, firm tinny bitterness.

Tasting at Leighton’s Flat. Thanks to Paul. Clear gold beer, nice bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Airy malts bring decent creamy sweetness. Hops are pithy orange with lesser grapefruit. Mild peel. Light semi dry finish. Pithy linger. Nice balance of sweet and bitter here and it drinks well under it’s abv.

Bottle shared at Leightons pre Christmas tasting. Very clear golden / orange colored pour with a loose lasting white head. Aroma is medicinal hop, light nutty malt, berry hop, and English yeast esters. Flavour is composed of little nutty, caramel grainy malts with a berry, medicinal hop, hop leaf. Nice yeast character. Palate is semi sweet, moderate to low carbonation. Lingering dirty green hop. Drinks very well for 6.5%.

Bottle shared in London. Thanks to Paul. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. The nose is mostly doughy white bread with hints of grain and lemon meringue. Medium sweet flavor with ripe citrus fruits, grainy pale bread, slight grass, dirty hay. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sticky sweet on the finish with more pale, bready malts, touches of honey and grains. Tasty stuff.

Bottled, 500ml from Harveys Brewery Bottle Shop, Lewes, E.Sussex. Amber with white head. This certainly feels like a little journey into the past, there is a full, earthy maltiness with a mid roasted character, dusty and slightly toasty. On top of this there is a slightly oily hop note with a dry leafy taste to it, bittering and slightly resinous. A decent beer for me.
