Theis (3617), Denmark Oct 23, 2007 Cask at Charlies, Kbh. Watching the Rugby-final between England and Southafrica. Clear dark golden - white head. Fresh flowery hoppy, caramel, ligh citrus, sweetness. Ok nice and fresh. reakt (938), Greater London, England Sep 17, 2007 Amber with a white head. Grassy hop nose. Bitter hops with a hint of malt and citrus. Not my thing at all. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Sep 3, 2007 A Mes rate:
Another bottle from the Royal Toke that we sunk on the benches outside the George Inn. Mid amber with a decent white head. Hoppy, grassy aroma that is much more IPA than ESB. Malty and unrefined flavour with some sweet cereal notes underneath. Not a great beer. DownsouthGav (602), Greater London, England Aug 28, 2007 Royal Oak, Borough 13/08/07 Golden yellow. Satisfyingly firm head. Although an ESB seemed very much like a golden ale. Light, well hopped with a bitter finish. Refrshing. Definitely a good summer beer in a old IPA style. My favourite Harveys. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 22, 2007 500ml bottle from Brewery Shop. Chestnut, clear with lasting beige head. This has a really toffee butter aroma. Not much hop really at all. Diacetyl? Just not much of anything but butter, some hop on end. Bit disappointing. Only hints of the big hop I was expecting. Must try again and preferably on cask. ThomasE (5179), Copenhagen, Denmark Feb 7, 2007 Cask @ Charlies, Copenhagen. Fully golden colour with a small white head. Light malty sweet aroma with a floral note. Fruity, citric flavor with a dry bitter finish. Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 11, 2007 CASK at Charlies. Orange golden colour with a small white head. Malty, light floral hop aroma and a malty, citrus, grass, bitter dry taste. MEdium body with a light sweet, bitter dry finish. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 8, 2007 Cask @ Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. Light amber color with a hazy look. Head was very spare and gone immediately. Aroma was light hops and malty.
