Splendid fresh flavours. A scintillating and fascinating beer, with that wonderful oaky Harveys note. Awesome. If only all beers could be this good. It is the freshness, the balance, the harmony, and the individual Harveys character that mark this out. Sobchak (131), Skagen, Denmark

Although an ESB seemed very much like a golden ale. Light, well hopped with a bitter finish. Refrshing. Definitely a good summer beer in a old IPA style. My favourite Harveys. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 23, 2009 The beer has soft English hops in the nose with apples showing a big presence. I was surprised the body was so aggressively hopped and big hoppy finish. Of course if I went online and read the description before ordering it would have made sense. Nevertheless I really enjoyed this beer. imdownthepub (5126), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
