Cask Conditioned, at The Ypers Castle Inn, Rye, East Sussex.
Amber, frothy white head, well presented with low carbonation and good clarity. Strong bitter hop aroma and big bitter hop flavour. A solid best bitter, done the way it’s supposed to be.

White Horse Parsons Green, London. Nice hoppy flavor with some licorice. Hopbitter aftertaste. Nothing special, but still a very decent bitter.

Light brown/golden. Big foamy head with a good bit of foamy lace. Interesting, almost cheesy, aroma. Nicely bitter in the finish but lacking body and fullness of flavor. Slightly earthy and citric. Not at all bad but not the most memorable bitter.

On handpull at the Golden LIon in Brighton. Nice soft aroma with some malt nuttiness. One of the darker bitters I tried on this holiday coming in at a "deep rust". Plenty of woodiness in the flavor and a nice metallic hop background. Very thirst quenching, but complex enough to mull over.

[Cask at Cockney Pub] An amber beer with no head. The aroma is slightly fruity and the flavor is very soft, fruity and slightly acidic. A very nice beer.

The beer that converted me from a dedicated Guiness drinker to a bitter drinker. On cask in the Market Porter, Borough, London, and the Royal Oak, also in Borough. Fruity on the tongue with a tangy finish. Fine beer.

(on cask at the White Hoss, Parsons Green) excellent bitter - big and fruity and complex. gives off a whiff of pure sulphur, like you’ve just cracked open a boiled egg. full of peach, passionfruit and grapefruit. the texture is full and thick, with slight graininess from the yeast. and a totally unique sort of strawberry colour.

Cask-Conditioned. Paler than the ‘pale ale’, increased hoppiness and alcohol noticeable. Very good bitter.

Fruity and hoppy aroma. Typical bitter appearance (thin head, slightly watery/oily) except it has a deep red color. Smooth drinking--lots of hops, and rather complex flavors. Very high quality bitter, very well balanced, truly excellent. (on tap, Market Porter pub, Southbank, London)
