From cask at White Hart, Crawley 22 Jan 14. 4,3%. Deep, deep amber. Low head with some color. The flavor is caramel with spicy notes. The typical Harvey’s flavor shines through. More spice in the finish. Good!

Rating from 2010 as Quids In: Harveys ist die einzige Brauerei Großbritanniens die ich kenne, die ihr Bier vorbildhaft in Mehrwegflaschen abfüllt. Da dies in England unüblich ist trägt die Flasche extra den netten Hinweis "Please return - we will wash and refill this bottle". --> 12,12,13,12,12,13 - 12,55

worldbeertaste (1624) - AUSTRIA - JUN 23, 2012
Clear orange with a thin fizzy white head. Smells of malt, toffee, grain (woody), toasted malt. Medium oily body. Taste of malt, grain, toasted grain, with a light sweet start and hop bitter finish. The finish has sor peachy fruit with some citrus. Though there is some complexity there is a hint of cardboard which makes it a bit chewey. Not bad but forgettable.

50cl bottle picked up in Hastings. Pale gold with a fast dissipating white head; caramel aroma; soft biscuity malt flavour with a touch of citrus and a lightly bitter finish.

Mad_Ferret (646) - SWEDEN - JUL 28, 2011
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2011 Bottle. Clear golden with a short off white leaving some lacings. Aroma is grassy and a bit sourish and floral hoppy with some pale malts and a touch of butterscotch. Taste is sweet malty with some butterscotch and a grassy floral bitterness. Medium to thinner body with low carbonation. A bit buttery and creamy. Ok, but pretty boring.

Bottle, Pale amber with no head and moderate carbonation. Sweetish, yeasty aroma with a touch of peach and orange fruit. Earthy flavour, with some more fruit and bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle as Harveys Quidsin. The aroma has flowery hops, some toffee/caramel. Clear, yellow coloured beer with a thin, white head. The taste is fairly bitter, has some malty sweetness and flowers. Light-medium bodied. Okay.

chriso (7347) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 30, 2010
Bottle from the brewery shop, consumed on 30 July 2009. Gold colour but more like a bitter in character than a golden ale. Albeit a fairly soft and easy drinking one. Decent balance of mild earthy hops and toasty malt. Clean enough. Does its job without fuss. A pleasant quaffer.

peter48er (180) - Liverpool, Merseyside, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2009
275ml bottled as Quidsin. Pale golden yellow with a very small off white head. No carbonation. Some citrus and flowers on the nose but the taste was once again dominated by a strong caramel and rather woody taste. This seems to be common in a lot of these small bottles from the brewery. Slightly better than my recent experiences had led me to expect.
