Commercial Description:
The filtered bottle version of the 3.8% cask ale.
Note: This is not the beer that won Supreme Champion in 2003.
"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrücker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

lemon/citrus aroma mixed with hops. Small airy head, golden syrup in colour a little cloudy. Tasted of citrus quite bitter, fairly smooth

Bottle, 500ml. Pour appealing transparent golden, with promising white head, which disappointingly quickly disappeared. Hops on the nose, and similar on the palate, with a citrus twist. Unremarkable overall.

Bottle poured a clear yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, light citrus and a hint of earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, lemon, light carmel and a hint of earthiness with a crisp lingering bitter finish.

A little bit of hops character, but nothing overwhelming. This was a fairly smooth beer and at only 4.2% might make for a good session beer if it was available on tap.
