Commercial Description:
The filtered bottle version of the 3.8% cask ale.
Note: This is not the beer that won Supreme Champion in 2003.
"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrücker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

The bitter hoppy aroma hits as soon as the bottle is openned; pours a pale blonde colour with a white head;good balance of honey sweetness and bitterness at first and than a zing a lemon. Very, very good.

Bottle poured a clear yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, light citrus and a hint of earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, lemon, light carmel and a hint of earthiness with a crisp lingering bitter finish.

A little bit of hops character, but nothing overwhelming. This was a fairly smooth beer and at only 4.2% might make for a good session beer if it was available on tap.

Aromas of some citrus and bread. Floral on the flavor with more bright flavors. Decent, but not overly exciting.

A clear yellow/golden colored beer, with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh with hops and malty. There are fruits like citrus and pineapple. The taste is malty with some vanilla, some bitterness and fruits like lemon and pineapple. The aftertaste is a little bitter and dry.

Bottle. Moderate malt aroma of straw, flowers and grass for the hops, light earth for the yeast with notes of pepper and wood. Head is small, frothy white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color slightly hazy yellow/tan. Flavor starts lightly acidic and finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, dry, and has a lively carbonation. A very earthy beer. Nothing harsh and a very solid Golden Ale
