3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 shaynsawchuk (27) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 19, 2012
500 mL bottle. Pours a pale golden with a fine white head, dissipates quickly with little lacing. Aroma is spiced and herbaceous, picking up lots of hops, thyme, ginger. A little sweetness with a bite of bitter hops. Clean texture, nice and easy to drink. Not overly carbonated as advertised. Great session beer, hurting for some fish and chips.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BlackHaddock (1674) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2012
June 2007: Brown 500ml bottle, the front label claims it is a ’Blond beer’ which is Spicy, Aromatic and Zesty. The rear label told me to drink it cold, so I did.
Poured into a Gordon’s Finest Golden thistle glass (well it is Scottish).
Very light for an IPA, about right for a blonde, an old, dull gold colour with a small white foaming head.
Stale bread smell, the beer was too cold to smell anything else, it is their fault, they told me to drink it cold.
Sour, with citrus flavours, would have been good in a sunny beer garden, sadly it is raining and cold this evening.
Dry from start to finish, with the citrus taste staying around also.
This is trying to be that little bit different from the normal beers brewed in Scotland and isn’t unpleasant, it is just not really for me. The scores are my honest results, I would have loved to give it higher marks for each cat, but it isn’t a great beer in my eyes.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Fatehunter (138) - - APR 15, 2012
Poured into a pint glass. Straw colored and transparent. Almost a finger of head. Great lacing all the way down the glass. Lots of bubbles visible.
A big mix of malt and hops on the nose. Rich malt smell, a background of lemon and grapefruit.
Light tasting, almost watery at the beginning, moves to a clean maltiness, then a pointed bitter and lemon taste at the end.
Soft texture, medium body, low carbonation.
This is an enigma of a beer. The smell made me think I was in for a powerful malt bomb. A really subtle taste, but still flavorful and dynamic. And you can throw them back without worry at AVB 4.2%
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sizzler80 (134) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 14, 2012
Dark golden pour with a thin white head. Aromas of hops, co2, caramel, grass, spice and citrus. B&T is lively with good carbonation. You can pick up all of the above but are not as pronounced on the palate.
Good session beer.

Taste is caramel malty sweetness with some grassy hop and citrus bitterness in the finish. A light to medium body with moderate carbonation. A pretty decent blonde ale which has some nicely balanced flavors.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cybercat (1884) - Georgia, USA - APR 7, 2012
Pours a slightly hazy amber with a decent white head. Crisp, sharp aroma is mainly malty with a fruity undertone and just a touch of hay. Flavor is quite malty with a hay/grassy undertone and a hint of fruit, mainly apple, and bitter and spicy whispers. Fizzy yet smooth texture has slightly above-average body.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Goba (71) - BRAZIL - MAR 17, 2012
Decent fruity beer! The pale colour with little foam don’t do much to it. The aroma is fruity overall, some malt and hop along. The taste is pale fruity, with hoppy notes coming along. Mild aftertaste. Decent beer, but nothing further.
2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DutchDrebus (1382) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - MAR 15, 2012
Slightly hazy yellow collor with a small white head. Smells hoppy, bitter and orangepeel. Tastes very watery, hoppy and fruity. Thin body, low on carbo and too watery to get a high score.
