"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrücker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

This drinks like a good lager. Clean crisp & refreshing. Good for a hot summers day. Citrus is not overpowering and add a nice edge to it.

Keg at George’s, Nottingham. A clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of grain, light caramel, a hint of lemon and subtle floral hops. Taste of grain, light caramel, slight honey, a little lemon and subtle floral hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A soft, dry, floral hop bitterness in the finish. Quite a standard golden ale, little on the malty side at first with citrus and a soft bitterness at the end. Nothing special but refreshing.

Bottle. Clear golden color, virtually no head. Fresh grass, citrus, and crisp malt aroma. Dry taste, medium to high bitterness. Citrus and malt aftertaste, complex and clean. Medium to thick texture, low average carbonation.

chinchill (4337) - South Carolina, USA - SEP 15, 2016
undated 500ml bottle served in a standard pint glass (from notes). [Revised with serving on tap in Edinburgh in August 2016]. Pours a hazy, medium-light amber with very little head. What little head there is is short-lived, leaving but a ring. Eventually, some sediment accrues on the bottom of the glass. {better looking on tap]. Bready, grassy, floral and fruity aroma; there is a clear contribution of malts. Although called Bitter & Twisted, this beer is only very mildly bitter. It is flavorful, with a mix of sweet pale malt, tangy fruit, some hops and hints of butter and lemon. The hops come through, weakly, in the tart and fruity finish. Nice semi-dry, nearly dry, feel, with a medium-light body bordering on watery. Smooth. O - enjoyed this more than my description seems to indicate.

From Labirratorium. In Teku glass. After dinner. Clean, crisp and refrshing, with a profile more close to a good soft lager than an ale. Very sessionable

Butelka 500ml. Zloty kolor. Piana biala mala szybko znikajaca. Aromat cytrusow trawy chmielu i ziaren. W smaku dosc cierpkie. Cytrynowa swiezosc sprawia ze piwo jest bardzo pijalne. Lekko goryczkowy finisz. Niezle

Clean and crisp with an odd bitterness in the finish. Pours ok - gold with a thin white head & a tad bit of lacing. The aroma is primarily grainy and malty. The taste is clean until the odd bitter finish. It’s not bad for the style but not the greatest overall.

500ml bottle. I didn’t find as much aroma as the label led me to believe, but this is a smooth session ale, not bad at all.
