COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrücker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

Nice citrus taste in this drop, medium/light bodied but not too watery, a touch of zest and green apples. Clear orangey golden body with an average size white head. Aroma is all citrus again, not strong but quite pleasant.

Pours amber with a small head. Nose shows soft English hops displaying earthy, herbal and faint spicy characters. Also present is some honey and bready malt. Similar English hops present themselves as flavours too, along with more bready and slightly grainy malt. Carbonation seems a little high, and the body seems somewhat watery.

Medium gold colour, softly carbonated. Spicy aroma with some floral hoppiness. Tastes hoppy at first with spice coming in after, hints of lemon and there’s that biscuity maltiness that rounds it off quite nicely. Good balance and easy to drink.

Bottled. Poured medium golden with a short-ish lived white head. The aroma picked up bready notes topped by meaty and zesty lemon.. touches of honey too.. sweet, clean, and well-balanced. The flavor found bread and lesser honey notes at the core, with floral, grassy, and lemony bitterness around.. quite dry on the finish, with a lot of graininess and some lemon. Light-bodied and a little sharp at times on the palate.. moderate bitterness.. it did get the lemon kick they were shooting for.. good for the style.

Bottle. Clear amber, minimal white head. Caramel, biscuit, malt and grain aroma, fresh bitter taste. A little grainy and malty. Medium body, sleek, long rounded malty finish. Awesome.

500 mL bottle. Pours a pale golden with a fine white head, dissipates quickly with little lacing. Aroma is spiced and herbaceous, picking up lots of hops, thyme, ginger. A little sweetness with a bite of bitter hops. Clean texture, nice and easy to drink. Not overly carbonated as advertised. Great session beer, hurting for some fish and chips.

June 2007: Brown 500ml bottle, the front label claims it is a ’Blond beer’ which is Spicy, Aromatic and Zesty. The rear label told me to drink it cold, so I did. Poured into a Gordon’s Finest Golden thistle glass (well it is Scottish). Very light for an IPA, about right for a blonde, an old, dull gold colour with a small white foaming head. Stale bread smell, the beer was too cold to smell anything else, it is their fault, they told me to drink it cold. Sour, with citrus flavours, would have been good in a sunny beer garden, sadly it is raining and cold this evening. Dry from start to finish, with the citrus taste staying around also. This is trying to be that little bit different from the normal beers brewed in Scotland and isn’t unpleasant, it is just not really for me. The scores are my honest results, I would have loved to give it higher marks for each cat, but it isn’t a great beer in my eyes.

Pours a golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malt, grass, citrus, floral hops and spices. Taste is also sweet malt, grass and citrus leading to a dry hoppy finish. Pretty decent.

Botella de 500ml. Vaso Tumbler. 500ml bottle. Tumbler glass. Enjoyed on dec´11. Pale golden in color, quite cloudy appearance. White, close & dense, froth with some lacing spots. Noble hops to the nose. Crispy upfront, dry bitter, lemon zest & slightly malty flavors. Medium body, medium/high carbonation. Astringent lemon finish.

Poured into a pint glass. Straw colored and transparent. Almost a finger of head. Great lacing all the way down the glass. Lots of bubbles visible. A big mix of malt and hops on the nose. Rich malt smell, a background of lemon and grapefruit. Light tasting, almost watery at the beginning, moves to a clean maltiness, then a pointed bitter and lemon taste at the end. Soft texture, medium body, low carbonation. This is an enigma of a beer. The smell made me think I was in for a powerful malt bomb. A really subtle taste, but still flavorful and dynamic. And you can throw them back without worry at AVB 4.2%
