Real ale@Jacobite Lounge, Fort William. Golden color, creamy white head. Fruity hop aroma. Smooth flavor with citric hops, rich malts. Medium-full body, very low carbonation. One of the better real ales I've tried.

Maker: Harviestoun, Alva, Scotland. *** Beer: Bitter & Twisted (Cask, at The Standing Order, Edinburgh) *** Style: Golden Ale *** ALC.VOL.: 3.8% *** Colour: Bright golden yellow, clear; medium, fluffy off-white head. *** Nose: Lemon, honey, grass.*** Texture: Medium body, strikingly non-watery considering the low ABV. Creamy even! Soft carbonation. *** Taste: Lemon, cucumber, floral hops, some herbs. As usual, floral hops increase towards the middle, while fruit flavors disappear. Agreeably malty background for balance. Lemon returns and then dominates the finish, along with floral notes. Bitterness actually increases in the hoppy aftertaste. *** Impressions: A far more interesting beer than its low ABV suggests. Refreshing, eminently quaffable, but not bland. These qualities are rarely found together in a light golden ale. Good beer.

Gravity dispense at the Happy Man Spring BF, 20/03/15. Clear golden yellow with a decent off white cap. Nose is citric zing, fresh grass, melon, light bread dough, tangerine. Taste comprises toasted malt, lemon rind, straw, light bread dough, bitter orange. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Decent GB, plenty of citric jus and zing keep this one moving along nicely.

Nice and bitter with a lemony flavours mixed in. Bitterness long lasting. Enjoyable and easy to drink beer. Not as creamy as it appears. Flavour is ok but not out of this world. Very good bitter.

Arôme de citron sur une biere plutot légère. Classique bitter pour le reste sans intérêt particulier.
