4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Quaffmeister (50) - Henlow, - SEP 3, 2003
(Hand Pump) A pale straw coloured ale that is exquisitely bitter, to the point of being astringent. Notes of fresh mown hay in the aroma but that is not important, the flavour and palate make this a beer amongst beers. It is a magnificent pint.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20 worldbeertaste (628) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2012
Slighty cloudy medium gold with a creamy lasting full white head. Flowery refreshing, hops, and light peach. Some malt. Full creamy body. Taste of grassy hops with a sweet toffee centre. The grassy vegetation hoppiness is a little offputting.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ianwelby (19) - SCOTLAND - MAY 2, 2012
A great head on this one, not much to comment on in terms of aroma. Taste is distinct but not overbearing (sweet but not overly so, balanced out by bitterness) meaning I could happily have it as a session beer.
3.3 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sloshgator (48) - Orlando, Florida, USA - APR 29, 2012
Good solid cask ale with a spicy bite. Head is kind of foamy and light. Good beer to drink after a workout.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 prawlie (569) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2012
Pint at the Goose in Bracknell. Slightly cloudy amber with some bits in it and a creamy white head. Very bitter, with pine needle taste to it. However this becomes less obvious after a couple of mouthfuls, whereupon its somewhat smoother and pleasant. The aroma is pine needle, hopped and a touch spiced. Pretty good, but not quite in the heavyweight category.

On draft at iron abbey beer dinner. A good refreshing bitter, good session beer. Slightly bitter with some floral notes.

Cask. Friggin monster cask foamy pour - gold color and a huge white head. Nose and taste is malty grains, a touch of plastic, and sharp bittering hops. Super cool.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 JorgeLee (331) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2012
Cask at the Kings Head W2. Pale golden bitter, no head to speak of. Light, refreshing beer with long bitter finish. An excellent bitter, low in alcohol, very moreish, tasty.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jackl (764) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2012
Deep golden color with a luxurious looking creamy white head. Nice start. The nose is pretty neutral, some spun sugar, ginger, bread, light grassy hops. The taste is initially a bit metallic, but then gives way to some nice sweet bready notes. Slight hints of butter (!). Cris, light finish. The body’s light/medium, the carbonation rather active indeed. Overall, this is an OK beer. It went fine with the burger I ordered. One of Harviestoun’s less interesting offerings.

On cask at Magnolia in SF. It pours gold with a beautiful, tall frothy white head. It’s super aromatic with citrus, herbal/earthy hops and a hint of menthol. The flavor is the same, very light and smooth with hints of caramel backed up by big herbal/floral hops. A wonderfully sessionable beer.
