SilkTork (3853), Rochester, Kent, England Sep 19, 2002 Usually producers of fine bottled ales, Harviestoun have let themselves down with this rather run of the mill bitter. The picture on the label is a moon behind a church spire which gives the impression of a slightly risque "moon". Sigh! Is it true that the quality of a beer is in inverse proportion to the rudeness of the label? The hops are Willamette, a rather soft, gentle breed, and Liberty, typically found in German lagers. The mildness of these hops may account for the lack of character in the beer.
