4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TEJA (788) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 25, 2010
Cask at O.T.
Off white lasting foam (untill the beer is finnished). Light brown-cupper color. Malty aroma from pale not chrystal malts. Weak piny hop aroma. Big hop taste with a firm pale maltiness. Big bitterness for such a low alcohol beer. This is, if you like hoppy english ales, a splendid ale that could bee consumed in large amounts. Small residual sweetness as the beer gets a litle warmer.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2008 In Nuneaton ’Spoons demolishing this one right now (’Game Burd’). Perfumey chlorophyll and citrus snout packed with tomato leaf, spliff and grapefruit. Wow. Enough sweaty hop resins to take your head off. Haven’t been able to taste because of The Fever, but I can taste this one alright. Perfumey American A/IPA-like citrussy hops in the mouth ripe with grapefruit, mandarin and huge hop bitterness. Creamy vanilla malt, oats, Dry Roasted and Twiglet rounding things off. Merciless, aromatic and superb. A better beer in JDW or Nuneaton you will not find.

Handpulled cask at the Village JDW Rayners Lane, Middx. Excellent nic from a newly tapped cask. Copper with a good beige long lived head. Hoppy aroma (rare for jock beer!) buiscity malt flavor with pleasently subtle burnt caramel notes. Some hop resins with crisp bitter finnish. I was thirsty after a cycle ride, but 3 of these slipped down very quickly! Excellent ale!
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ante (3375) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 29, 2010
Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. "Pours out in a hazy pale amber colour with a small frothy white head. Hoppy aroma of wet grass and lemon-zest. Medium to light-bodied with crisp hoppy notes of red grapefruit, lemon-zest, gooseberries and grass. Long crisp and really bitter finish of red grapefruit, lemon-zest, kiwi and grass with sweetish undertones of nectarines. Yeah, a hop-bomb that you can drink a lot of and not being totally sloshed.

Cask @ Playfair. Bright orange with stable head. Aroma is peppery hops. Deliciously fresh and nutty. Soft palate. Earthy with some mushroom and soy nut. Lovely flavors in a golden ale with wet flowers and some minerals throughout.

A Mes rate: cask at Baker St. McSporks. A clean amber gold colour with a thin off white head. Ooh and some condition. That’s a novelty for JDW. Straight forward bitter leafy hoppage with loads of grass and nettle notes. Excellent (if slightly perverse) hit of Amyl Nitrate in the aroma. Good biscuit malt base. Tasty bitter finish that is surprisingly dry. Hints of pepper and herbs round it off nicely. Enjoying this one.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars’ Scottish beer festival, Bristol 02/09/09. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of orange blossoms and a touch of toffee. Flavour had plenty of citrus hops with some balancing sweetness and a decent dry finish. Good stuff.
