Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes, in ’Spoons Real Ale Festival. Gold with a large white head. He had to coax this one out; the very dregs of the cask, and not surprisingly a bit warm. He was reluctant to serve it to me. ’Please,’ I begged. ’I’m a ticker.’ Probably some floral hop in the aroma, but the large head didn’t help. Taste is oily grapefruit. A sharp bitter finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Edgar Wallace, London 3/7/08. Pale amber with a decent white head that left plenty of lacing. Citrus hop aroma with a touch of summer fruit. Flavour had some grapefruit, elderflowers and a decent dry finish. Good.

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2008 Cask. Amber colour, little head. Grapefruit/lemon citrus hops. Taste to match - crisp, very hoppy and refreshing. Very nice, but a bit of a one-trick pony.

(Cask at Market Porter, Borough, London, 31 July) Colour is pale amber with frothy head. Nose is fruity with grapefruit, lemon and a distinct citrussy hop aroma. Taste is fruity with grapefruit and lemon, seriously hoppy with a slightly soapy character. Long, hoppy finish. Rather single-tracked and not really complex, but a hop heads delight. Excellent!

Pint pulled at The George in London Bridge, a golden amber with a thick and creamy medium-sized head. Aroma is a strong bouquet of citrus hops. The front of the mouth is hit with a very nice taste of fruits, but there is maybe too much bitterness from the hops.

Cask at Babington Arms, Derby, Dull gold, slight creamy head. Very floral in nose and taste, bitterness edges into the dry finish, very pleasent.
