From cask at Charlies. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is citrus fruity and light grassy. Mild sweet flavoured with a citrusy bitter hops flavoured. Smooth and delicate hops flavoured dry finish, light remaining sweetness.

Cask, Griffin, Carlisle. Sweet pale lae, lovely and fresh tasting, with a fine gold appearance. Good bitterness on the tongue and a pleasant, sharp finish.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A light golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is flowery combined with lighter notes of lemon and malt. The flavor is sweet with strong flowery and grassy notes of hops on a lightly malty back ground, lkeading to a bitter finish. Nice.

Cask conditioned at The Holly Bush, Alcester, Warks. Pale gold with white head. There is a thinnish, light malty body, which does give a reasonable biscuity note, then a lemony, perfumed sharp hop note, clean & fresh and quite fragrant. Not really true to style but good drinking anyway.

On gravity at the Swindon Beer Festival, 29/10/09. Savoury, biscuit malts with some slightly fruity hops and big, bitter finish. Ok.

Cask handpull at The Rake. Good hop on finish and a bit of tea which Tom agrees with me tends to come in Harviestoun beers and he seems to think is due to some kind of malt that they use. OK golden ale, but it is in no way a Marzen

A Mes rate. Cask at The Rake.
Clean gold with a white film. Earthy malt, slight resinous hops, some nutty character and a decent dry bitter finish. Nothing like an Oktoberfest but decent enough, if a little sticky.

Cask gravity at Bedford BF ’09. Gold with a small white head. Limey hop aroma with a suggestion of tinned peaches. Taste is malty and full of cereal. Some bitterness to follow. Despite the power cooled jacket this was on the warm side.
