Tap at Ginger Man passed on by a local NY rater (I forget who) Golden pour with a thin/vanishing white head. Herbal/medicinal aroma with mild lime-leaf spiciness and berries. Fizzy thin body with a lacking body and flavor. Very odd flavor with off berryish notes and lavender. Soapy with a note of mildly skunked Euro-hops. Pretty bad.

Tap at Blind Tiger. I’ve been seeing this all over the place, surprised it only has one rating. Man, this beer is some kind of horrible. Smells like ginger and grapefruit and lychee and maybe some lime. That part isn’t that bad. But the taste is horrendous, with a minerally, thin body, and a rouch, salty, disgusting finish. Yuck! Too bad we didn’t get this in our blind Lime Beer tasting the other day, it would’ve fit right in with its Bud, Miller, and Steelback brethren.

On Tap at Novare Res in Portland. This is an interesting beer. It’s sort of odd you can really smell the ginger and then you can really get the taste of lime peel bitterness in the beer. The two dont mix that much in either aspect but that’s kind of neat. This is a pretty good summer beer though, with it’s light body and straw like color it’s almost like a lawnmower beer with sophistication and attitude.
