Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Apr 8, 2008 My boyfriend gave me this beer, tee-hee. It appears to be named after our president Dubha. I’d re-elect it. Fuck U Osama.
ChristianScheffel (2250), Odense, Denmark Oct 11, 2008 Black with a small off-white head. Roasted malt aroma with licorice and some peat smoke. Smooth and complex flavour with peat and roasted malts. Indulgence (123), Ajo, Arizona, USA Oct 6, 2008 No 15498, Sept 07. Strongly smokey, salty, peaty and roasty... very dry on the finish... leaves you smacking your lips and thirsty... smooth, but just a scotch flavor bomb, not my cup of tea. tronraner (1434), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Oct 5, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours black with orange edges and a pretty tan head. The aroma is sweet chocolate, whisky, caramel, raisin, and some tar hints. The flavor is fine tobacco, chocolate, raisin, wood, and a more subtle whisky presence than I was expecting. There is a bit of ashy bitterness, with a slight roasty-sour bite in the finish. Lingering aftertaste of dark molasses and whisky. A very light alcohol warmth builds up. Excellent. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 5, 2008 Bottle.
Dark brown coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Roasted aroma of caramel and dried fruits with notes of coffee.
Roasted flavour of dried fruits and overriped fruits with notes of coffee.
Roasted finish.
Immy (1583), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Oct 4, 2008 33cl bottle, #03750, Sept 2007. At $10/bottle, this better kick ass... Near black with a thin brown head. Huge nose, sweet brown sugar and molasses, distinct whiskey notes. Very peaty flavor, whiskey and molasses, a tad hot, but not in a bad way. Rich chocolate malt, woody and roasty. Awesome satiny body. This is a lovely, rich, sipping beer.
