COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ola Dubh (or "Black Oil") is so named because it is gloopy and viscous. This limited release has been matured in casks from Orkney’s award-winning Highland Park distillery to add complimentary whisky notes to what is already an amazing brew. It is chocolatey with a roasty, bittersweet aftertaste. Special Reserve 18, whisky notes: Highland Park 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was named Best Spirit in the World by F. Paul Pacult; it offers toffee sweetness, almond nuttiness and a prolonged, smoky aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours unctuous and decadent. Puffy tan head that dissipates to a thin layer. Aroma is rum raisin, clear alcohol whisky quality to the nose, nutty chocolate. Held to the light it’s a deep reddish brown. Rum raisin aroma follows through to the palate, roasty burnt sweet maltiness, with a whisky alcohol-laden warming finish. Quite sweet and indulgent overall, a pleasant sipper late at night.

Bottle 330ml (2014). Served at room temperature. Pours deep hazy brown (virtually black). Head is tanned, a good size and lasts very well. Aroma is very complex and smokey with notes of peated whiskey, tarred wood, burnt toffee, aniseed, coco, dates, raisins and tobacco. Flavour is smooth with a very light earthy bitterness; roasted barley, peated whiskey, charcoal, burnt toffee, liquorice, dried currants, prunes, leather and a long tarred woody finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation, slightly syrupy texture and a long finish. Amazing stuff!!!

Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta.
